Where is spring?

It seems like spring has forgotten to show up here.  Yet another snow storm today!  Although it doesn't look like spring outside, it sure looks like it in my scrap room!  Scrapbook nerd send me some beautiful light collections to work with this month.  I received some Pink Paislee Color Wash and some Teresa Collins He Said She Said.

I love this die cut paper!

I made some cute little arrows with photo corners!

I love using masks to add color to my LO!

These Heidi Swapp words are so awesome!!

This was literally a 15 minute LO! The nerds challenged us to use die cuts this month so I cut out the title on my Cameo.

Basic Grey has packages of flowers and I love the look when you layer them.

I had some fun with the circles in one of the pattern papers.

And some fun with the chevron paper too!

Love these chalkboard thickers!

You can find all these in the scrapbook nerd store!

Rock Star

Hi everyone,  today I have a fun LO I created using some awesome Creative Embellishments products.  Last year I took my daughter out on a little "rock star" photo shoot.  We had so much fun.  This kid is such a good sport, I took about 200 photos and she never complained!

I painted the chipboard with some black paint and then I added some Ferro texture paste on the smaller stars.   I really like the effect it created.  Here are a few close ups.

I used the You Rock frame set and the Star frames on my LO.

Boys and toys

Hi everyone, it's reveal time at My Scraps and More Sketches again!  We had a fun sketch to work with this time.  I loved the big circle on the sketch and decided to have a little fun with it.

Here is the sketch

And here is my LO

I love this photo of my son.  It's sooo him.  He's always wanting to figure out how everything works.  I decided to use a gear instead of the circle on the sketch, it really fit well with this photo!

Check out the whole reveal here.

Capture the moment

Hi everyone, I'm up today with my first solo post for Creative Embellishments!  Eeek, I'm so excited!  You will notice that my scrapbooking style is quite different from the other DT members.  I'm not sure what my style would be called...clean lines maybe??  But you will see that the amazing products at Creative Embellishments can be used for any style of scrapbooking!  For my LO I used  sketch # 262 from Creative Scrappers.

I love how the chipboard is really easy to work with.  It can be altered in so many ways.  On my LO I choose to cut the chevron border into pieces to accomodate my LO.  Then I just painted them with distress paint.  Here are a few close ups.

Here are the products I used on my LO, Chevron border and Capture the moment

Elle's Studio yuminess!

I got to play with some awesome Elle's Studio products this month at Scrapbook Nerd!  I received the saltwater collection and a bit of the cameron collection!  They worked really well together!

For my first LO I had this awesome cut file from the silhouette store.  I bought it to use with pics of my son with his rocket!  The papers were the perfect colors for my photos.

For my next LO I used a dark background.  This is not something I do often but I need to start doing it more.  I really like how it makes everything pop.

This next one I just layered some random bits and pieces.

And for my last LO, the nerds challenged us to use wood on our LO.  I added a bit of wood veneer and used a wood background as well.

No more baby boy

It's hard to accept and even to admit, but my baby boy turned 12 in January.  This child who came into the world kicking and screaming so much the nurses at the hospital couldn't stop laughing.  At 9lbs 1oz, he was a big healthy baby with very good lungs too!  lol  Although time is going by way too fast, I am so proud of the amazing little man he is turning into.  He is kind, helpful and considerate to others.  I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful son!

In honor of him, today I'm posting a LO for My Scraps and More.

Here is the sketch!

My first reveal at Creative Embellishments!

I'm so excited to be able to reveal my first DT LO for Creative Embellishments today!  For this month's challenge, we have a photo inspiration and a sketch.  Here is what I came up with.

I love the look of raw chipboard!

A close up of the flower I made with book paper.

A few other close ups.  I used some texture paste and inks to give dimension to my LO.  Check out how beautifully cut that chipboard is!

Those hearts were actually a background piece that I cut into smaller pieces to add to my LO!
